We believe in offering assistance by invitation, not “providing aid”. Our philosophy is that communities know best what they need; we don’t want to march in with good intentions but inappropriate assistance.
why do we love the monthly donation system*?
- It allows you to contribute to projects in a way that works with your budget.
- Having some idea of how much we are able to raise on a month-by-month basis allows us to better evaluate future projects and determine which projects might require separate fundraising campaigns.
- We’re not going to lie … many people are able to donate more when it’s spread over the year: finding an extra $10-$20 each month tends to be easier than finding an extra hundred or so all at once!
